Huge update pending..
June is always a busy month @ NM47 because of Lilias Day, our anniversary and Kilbarchan Agricultural Show.
This month is also a turning point for us this year as we tone back events. Markets have been VOLITILE this past year and some are just not sustainable for us anymore. With rising pitch fees, insurance and fuel costs we need to earn more than ever before just to break even (without even paying ourselves minimum wage for the 6+ hours standing behind the table!) plus giving every weekend up was taking its toll.
So June will be our last markets in Renfrewshire.
August we will be at Pittenweem Arts Festival.
September we have one final Railyard Market.
Christmas is toned down too this year -
November will see just TWO Christmas Markets - The Makkist @ BAaD & Kilbarchan Craft Fayre.
December will see our return to McGilps Popup Shop in Gourock
But that’s yer wack!
To put it into perspective, we did 13 events in Nov & Dec last year - this year there will be just 3.
I’ll still be working away, with the workshop open as much as possible so look out for those dates once we tie them down. Also there will be some ‘Market Stock Drops’ online as I know I’ll miss the creative side of making one off pieces for markets :)
