Synge Update - July '26

July is a very busy month at work and although I've done plenty of walking, I'm really struggling to remember what I've done. That goodness for Strava.

So apparently, I completed the Crinkle Crags at the beginning of the month but I'm pretty sure I blanked out that particular walk!

We still had good weather and overall, me and Mags completed 39 synges bringing our total to 271.

The Rohan Summer sale starts at 9.30am today!

There is a great selection of t-shirts, shirts and shorts, ideal for the current weather, along with waterproof jackets, fleece and trousers for our usual weather 😉

Most importantly, though, we have air conditioning in the shop so you can shop in comfort!

We set off early this morning to beat the heat, and it was worth it!

We climbed Thornythwaite Fell and then round to Rosthwaite fell, taking in 6 synges along the way.

Along with the awesome views, a Sunday lunch out was our reward 😊

May Synge Update

Our total number of Synges so far this year stands at 179, so we're slightly up on target even with having a week on holiday (Anglesey was lovely, by the way).

There were some pretty hot days to contend with at the end of the month, Maggie had to submerge herself in some mud to cool down 😂

I'm hoping for some more settled weather in June and being able to get well over the 200 mark by the half-year point!

April Synge Update

We received a more settled month of weather in April, so I made the most of it by going out for longer and higher, oh, and the shorts are on!

My favourite synge this month was Rainsborrow Crag, which is just off the side of Yoke and is the last photo shown.

We completed 50 synges in April, which brings our total to 155 so far this year (right on track!)
