Something a bit different has been happening in my work room recently. These are still paper-mache but painted to look like bronze. I think there will be more coming as I like how the single colour emphasises the modelling.

I walked out this morning to the sound of robins singing wherever I went. So to celebrate I decided to make three more. They progress from a wire form through paper-mache moulding to a final layer of coloured paper torn from the pictures in the paper. Once dry they get eyes and a name cut from the scraps. The one in front was finished recently, his name is Colin.
