A wee run down in what I have been doing recently - as I haven't posted in a while ๐Ÿซฃ

This evening was a weaving workshop, part of the creative peninsula program of arts and crafts. Fiona worked on my schacht cricket loom, a small rigid heddle loom, and was well on her way to a masterpiece when time ran. So she took the loom home to finish her homework ๐Ÿ˜Š

Last week I ran a spinning workshop for a lovely french girl who picked it very quickly. After about 2 hours she had spun about 50g of wool. And AI was my friend that day - her English was not tuned in to technical spinning terms, and my french wasn't really tuned in to anything, so I was able to use AI to translate what I was saying to her and it worked really well ๐Ÿ‘Œ

I did a crochet demo in Ards arts centre on Friday evening, and an Aran knitting demo the previous Sunday at the north down museum in Bangor.

I had fun with a finger knitting workshop at Ards Arts centre last week, using wool roving and icord that I made on my electric icord maker.

Two lovely ladies from England, mother and daughter, came along to a peg loom workshop this morning. Lots of things in common - greyhounds, lurchers, horses, crafts and Terry Pratchett โค๏ธโค๏ธ
We used i-cord, wool, sheep and alpaca fleece rovings, strips of fabric, and tow (2nd quality flax) from Mallon Linen to make unique woven pieces - destined to become wall hangings.
