In 2012 (May- September) Broughton House, Kirkcudbright, Sunny had her first solo exhibition "Dancers Don't Draw", showing a series of Galloway paintings in pencil and watercolour. Since then we have sold her work in the shop and she has continued to exhibit- solo:
The Tolbooth Arts Centre, Kirkcudbright in May 2018 and in group exhibitions at the Kirkcudbright Galleries in the mixed show 2018/19 and Dagfas 2022. Her work is available year round at Pleat and she can be contacted personally for more information. Follow Pleat on Instagram

This Model Alert 🔥🔥🔥🇫🇮 🇸🇪 was kindly sent to me by Patti Leino, who brought her artist friend Renja into Pleat earlier this season and she had treated herself to this beautiful scarlet top.

Loving the late afternoon Model Alert 🔥🔥🔥 from Melissa, a familiar Edinburgh face, often visiting Kirkcudbright and as passionate about her love for fashion as she is about portrait painting.

Today she finds a unique, turquoise vintage velvet top, 2 vintage bangles and a very quirky 3 x strap, plaited leather belt, also vintage.
It has been a day of styling and Melissa is an expert at creating dynamic silhouettes and subtle attitudes, always a joy to welcome back and see how she breathes new life into pre-loved pieces, mixing antique and modern in equal measure. Such a modern gal!

Sneak Peek- a new delivery has just arrived containing early new season pieces.
It’s just about out of the boxes and onto the rails and I’ll be working on it over the coming week.
It’s very exciting to see the beginning of a new season, lots of unusual denim trousers and fine needlecord pieces.
