Colourful Past fabulous hand painted and upcycled vintage furniture and homewares My grandma has since left us but I like to think she'd be very proud.

Since I was a child I have always had a love and passion for finding and breathing new life into things that maybe have seen better days, this love was born from trips with my grandma to our local second hand market or 'rag and louse' as we called it. My work is the result of this love and passion along a keen eye and skills acquired whilst studying interior design and art.

I’m making my last made to order Frida shade today and may have a few bits of fabric left for some 15cm and 20cm diameter drums…not sure yet though.

Just lovely isn’t she? 🧡

Originally thought to be Scandinavian but after a bit of research I now believe she’s possibly Latvian or Lithuanian, as she is wearing a costume typical of these areas. Also, the little cabochon is amber, which is primarily found in Baltic regions.
