Happy birthday to our Dad, Robert Brooks, who is celebrating his 88th birthday today.

Dad joined the family business in 1953, age 15 and was later joined in the family business by my Uncle Alex some years later. Dad expanded the business from our roots in Hamilton Street, Carluke, and at one time we were trading out of 4 shops in Carluke, 2 in Wishaw, 2 in Lanark and one shop in Bellshill.

Our Dad only recently retired a few years ago.
