Over the past year, we’ve had a LOT of questions about whether we’d ever get more of the highly popular Extreme Smock range in that we had stocked when we first opened our doors (way back in September 2024!).

Well, those wishes have been granted, the Extreme range is back (in limited quantity and sizing!) in BOTH the jacket and smock editions.

MONTANE FACTORY SHOP LANCASTER X TRACK NIGHTS

Last Wednesday, we launched a brand new store partnership (Montane Factory Shop Lancaster only!) with Track Nights and alongside VOOM Nutrition during their Night of the PB’s event in support of CancerCare.

Aimed at a wide range of abilities, Track Nights supports all runners on their way to performing their best, providing varied sessions each week.

We will be collaborating with Track Nights at future events and providing incentives for use in-store to support a great local community of runners all coming together to push each other toward their personal best.

Congratulations to our store manager Jason, who ran the Montane Ullswater Way Ultra over the weekend, placing 7th overall and 3rd in age category.

The Montane Ullswater Way Ultra is a 33.5 mile race that mostly follows the Ullswater Way trail, encircling the stunning scenery that surrounds Ullswater, England’s second-largest lake.

We’re also saying congratulations to everyone who took on the race over the weekend, and hope to see you all in-store soon!

DUNSOP DAWDLE UPDATE!

Will Howard returns to the Dawdle months after setting the previous fastest completion (beaten since by VOOM Nutrition athlete Barney Plummer in a time of 4:08:02), to retake his seat at the top.

Will smashed the men’s record, finishing in 3:35:05, knocking over half an hour off the previous best. Will also considers this record still beatable, on the right day, so why not take advantage of the dry weather period and take on the rugged Forest of Bowland National Landscape with our marathon distance challenge round, the Dunsop Dawdle.

P.S, we’re proudly claiming that our challenge round is the most bog heavy in Britain(to please the bog hoppers out there!), but we’re happy to be challenged on that claim😉

We’re also yet to see a women’s solo record on the full Dawdle round (with the fastest women’s completion going to a trio finish out on the course), so why not take the opportunity to get your name at the top of the leaderboard?🔥💪🏻

The weather is nice (for how long who knows!), so now is the time to refresh your memory on our two locally-based challenge rounds!

Take on the DUNSOP DAWDLE / DUNSOP DASH.

The Dunsop Dawdle is a marathon-distance round starting and finishing in the geographical centre of Great Britain, Dunsop Bridge that can be run or walked in a day. The route will take you through stunning remote scenery and boggy fells, to riversides and farm tracks. The round aims to showcase the best that the Forest of Bowland National Landscape has to offer and serves as a great recce day for anyone taking on a future edition of the Bowland Ultra, or for those who want to relive the experience in a bit warmer weather!

Our current in-store recommended route is our own Dunsop Dash, the 22KM edition of the round, which features less bog and more opportunities to go a bit faster, or a decent mornings outing for a plod / walk!
