Do you ever get a ni**le in your lower back when you use a buckle carrier?
This often happens if your waistband is sitting at an angle. When you pop baby in, their weight will often make the waistband slip down at the front. Ideally you want it to sit at the same level all the way round, parallel to the floor.
Once you've got baby settled in a nice position and you've tightened your sling, double check the height of your waistband. If it's at an angle try correcting it by moving the back down a touch. I often need to loosen it a little, then wiggle it down over my curvier parts βΊ, then tighten again if necessary.
It's often not a big adjustment (as you can see in the photo) but it does make a big difference to comfort!
*Remember your waistband should always sit at the height needed to allow your baby's head to fall on the hard part of your chest. This will probably be quite high for a newborn, but it may sit in your hips with an older child.
