🎐✨ Happy Mid Autumn Festival everyone!

🌟 Today's feature is the Ergobaby Omni Breeze (in comparison to Ergobaby Omni 360)

πŸ‘‰ Ergobaby Omni Breeze is the newer model and has some improvements 😊 look through the carousel images to know more πŸ˜‰

πŸ‘‰ OMNI Breeze is definitely softer and feels lighter than other similar Ergobaby carriers

πŸ‘‰ The "seat" part allows for better fit - more snug, better adjustable - all the the same positions as previous carriers, but with more comfort

πŸ‘‰ Thanks to slightly shorter padding on shoulder straps we can achieve tighter fit over our shoulders

πŸ€“ Pm if you have more questions 😁

πŸ€ Most times when people hear the words "wrap" and "babywearing" - they assume the usage of a stretchy wrap. But what about the woven wraps?

🧐 What's the big difference? ( Let me know in the comments if it's the first time hearing about πŸ˜‰πŸ‘‡)

πŸ‘‰ The difference is actually very significant:

πŸ’š In terms of weight woven wraps can support a lot more (but are also very comfortable and good to use with newborn)

πŸ’š Woven wraps are made on a loom from specially selected yarns (durable and strong) - they can be either handwoven or machine woven

πŸ’š On a video you can see the two way (horizontal and vertical) stretch of a stretchy wrap - due to elasticity. Some stretchy wraps also have one way stretch (vertical) πŸ€“ And the woven wraps have diagonal "stretch" due to interwoven yarns - this helps to "hug" baby evenly and tighten evenly all around (but can support much more in terms of weight)

πŸ‘›Woven wraps usually do cost more than stretchy ones (average price of a woven wrap compares to a full buckle carrier) - this is due to the yarns, manufacturing process, etc.

πŸ’š Woven wraps usually get only better and softer woth use

πŸ’š Both types of wraps have their benefits πŸ˜… however woven wraps have a bit more versatility 😁🀭✨

😊 The best is combination of both - it is definitely not a mutually exclusive situation 😁

πŸ‘‰ One of the baby's needs is closeness - they like to be held, they feel secure this way - thus babywearing tools can help to take the strain of your back, arms and lumbar area by ensuring you can carry your baby comfortably

πŸ‘‰ Baby carriers can help with with:

πŸ’šregulating baby's sleep;

πŸ’š close skin contact contributes to low cortisol levels - therefore babies are calmer;

πŸ’š babywearing in a correct physiological position helps at "preventing hip problems in children with risk of hip dysplasia" (Kirkilionis)

πŸ’› This very compact .official carrier is very good for quick ups and waterproof!

πŸ‘‰ Easy to put on - can be used either on left or right shoulder (small buckles to tighten the top rail are located on both sides - only one is in use at a time) - IGTV tutorial is coming

πŸ‘‰ Mesh material - easy to wash and to dry... and - can be used in water! πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦ If you are busy looking after your older child on a beach, but still need to hold your younger baby tight - Minimonkey is a good choice!

πŸ‘‰ It is claimed to fit from newborn till 15kg - it will fit nicely from approximately 5-6 weeks old till toddler age (might not be enough neck support for the very-very tiny newborn)

πŸ™Œ One of the most popular carriers in Hong Kong is Ergobaby Omni 360. How to assure you have a good fit with this carrier (as well as most other soft structured carriers)?

πŸ“Έ This image is inspired by the initial similar image (with the same carrier) done by

πŸ‘‰ The waistband has to be on a right height. For a 2-3 month old (size of a doll on a photo) - it will be quite high (almost under the breasts area of an adult). This ensures that the baby's torso is not "pressed" flat to your body and that the baby is not "sitting" on a waistband, but is actually supported evenly from knee to knee

πŸ‘‰ The back panel of the carrier should replicate baby's natural rounded spine position

πŸ‘‰ The "head support" - actually should be "neck support" 🀭 - should not cover baby's head. The support should reach up to the level of baby's ears and not higher

πŸ‘‰ Check for T. I. C. K. S. -
T - tight
I - in view at all times
C - close enough to kiss
K - keep chin of the chest (risk of suffocation if baby's head slumps down and is not visible inside the carrier)
S - supported back (baby's back supported in natural position)

πŸ‘‰ "H" strap on your back should be placed between your shoulder blades - not on the neck area. This ensures comfort and better wait distribution for an adult

πŸ“© PM with πŸ“Έ a photo if you have questions on your fit πŸ’ͺ

🧑 Today I would like to introduce a brand .mybabycarrier from Germany πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ and their full buckle carrier Manduca XT

πŸ‘‰ This carrier will grow with your baby thanks to smart adjustments (instructions say from 3,5kg till 20 kg - realistically will fit nicely from around 4-6 weeks till approximately 24 months old)

πŸ‘‰ On a second photo in a carousel tested with a "toddler" size doll

πŸ‘‰ It comes in different colours and has one of the softest fabrics as a full buckle (I have compared πŸ’ͺ)

πŸ‘‰ The waistband is supportive, but not too stiff

πŸ‘‰ Can be easily used for side and back carry

πŸ‘‰PM me for testing and purchase possibilities info

🌟 Today is the second day of the
and I would like to share one of my favourite photos - first time trying and nursing in a ring sling

🌟 Yes, our ring sling journey has started after my son's 1st birthday 😊

🌟 Yes, breastfeeding after 1 year old is as useful and normal as before 1 y.o.

🌟 Breastfeeding in a ring sling can be done both in vertical and horizontal carry. For horizontal carry the fabric should support from neck till the hollows of the knees (and shouldn't cover the head - when the head is covered there's increased risk of getting baby's chin to close to his/her chest, which might close the airways). Please, see the photo in carousel for illustration (photo not mine)

If you have questions - PM
