Month 3 & week 1 of the new chemotherapy and I feel pretty much ok as things go.
Good news from my oncologist who thinks things are heading in the right direction which is pleasing to know.
Just wanted to update you lovely ladies and gents who are constantly messaging Jason and myself for updates.
It’s easier for me to put a post on once a week with my progress as it unfolds.

You are all so lovely, genrous, kind & supportive it’s beyond words.

We are sorry to inform you that there will be NO tonight THURSDAY 20th August but we will be back to normal NEXT THURSDAY 27th August 7.30pm

We have taken a few days off so I can rest while I have a week off the chemotherapy and get my body ready for the next 3rd round of treatment which starts next Tuesday

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but we will still be doing our £50 VOUCHER GIVEAWAY when we return.

Well what a lovely day full of love, laughter, kindness and most of all support through one of the toughest years anyone could endure.
I was told in Jan I would not reach my 55th birthday due to my condition.

Well today I proved them wrong and our lovely customers have made my working day so much more special than you will ever know by just coming in with a card, gift, flowers and bottles of my favourite tipple champagne.

Obviously I cannot drink at the moment but when I can I will enjoy raising a glass to you all.

Ladies and Gents if you are approached by this man to cut or fit carpets in the leek or stoke on Trent area please be very wary & careful as we parted with £2200 in cash for 2 staircases and a landing carpet which should take 1 day maximum to fit.
However we are now 5 weeks down the road and still have no carpet on our stairs and a main landing as he has cut the carpet pieces too small.
We now know from our new carpet fitter that the carpet that Rob Garner cut from the roll was cut incorrectly so cannot be used due to it being 6 inches too small.

He then threatened Jason after Jason asked him for a partial refund to cover the refitting of the carpet that he had incorrectly fitted.

DO NOT USE THIS MAN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

As you all know I’m not well and he assured me and Jason that he would do the job and get it done asap to make sure we were happy due to the circumstances we are in right now.

We feel really let down that we paid him up front as he requested us to, and he played on Jason’s emotional vulnerability, mentioning he would get the job done so that Steve would be happy.

We have tried and failed to contact him to replace the carpet ourselves but he won’t accept calls or messages.

I just wanted you all to know I had my last treatment for this month which was yesterday and then I have a week off to give my body a rest.

I met with my oncologist Monday who was absolutely thrilled with how things are going so far which is very promising to say the least.

He told me that the other 15 patients who started the treatment the same time as me in February have with passed away, not had the strength or been very negative and as a result only me and 1 more are still on this earth fighting to live.

As you all know I was told in January by Mr Bhatt that I would be dead within 6-8 months and I would not reach my 55th birthday which is this Saturday coming 15th August so I cannot wait to go and find this man and knock on his door and say “surprise do you remember me”
Isn’t it a good job I didn’t take his word for it and come home and give up??

Right now a miracle is happening I do feel I bit groggy today from the treatment on Tuesday but that’s that is to be expected when you’re on treatment I am in 100% strength every morning and evening everyday for 3 weeks with 1 week off.

I won’t lie it’s brutal and uncomfortable not to mention depressing at times but somehow I managed to battle on just to defy them all at the hospital.

The moral of this tale is no matter what anyone tells you in life we are all individually made different and you can only do it if you believe in yourself that goes for illness, jobs, etc.

I knew I would be alive for my 55th birthday and I will be alive for many more I just have that feeling since I visited the Holy Well in wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 it’s given me a sense of calm and peace also I understand somethings cannot be solved over night and I’ve become more patient.

As usual I have been inundated with well wishes to Jason’s new phone and my own and I am truly grateful beyond belief.

All of your well wishes over the past 7 months are what have and will get me through this awful nightmare and see me out of this on the other side.
