Just look at the beautiful subtle rainbow of colour that forms when the sunlight hits these holographic suede purses.

I've just boxed them up with their friends (along with quite a bit of faffing) ready for Craft Fair which is 10 - 5pm this Saturday 30th April and Sunday 1st May.

You can find me there on the Saturday; keep swiping to see how beautiful the house is, I don't think I'm going to want to leave...

I love bright spring colours, there's just something about them that makes you feel happy, isn't there...

Alongside a few favourites I'll be bringing along a small spring collection of one-off suede scrunchies for this Saturday

It's feels like a mini challenge to myself using up all of the last little bits of my suede and end-of-line skins and it's so satisfying when it works perfectly.

There's succulent pinks, soft yellows and vibrant dark cherry tones - almost good enough to eat (although a mouthful of suede may not be the best idea).

I'm breaking my grid hiatus with two firsts...

The first is this hand drawn silver leather newbie. You may have seen it in my stories - I love playing with mark making and the scratchy, intricate details I've created on this pouch are inspired by fingerprints, tattoos and the human, intangible 'imprints' we leave on each other.

The second is my first craft fair on Saturday 30th April, I'm excited and nervous in equal measure!

If you're nearby it would be wonderful to see you, it's such a lovely venue; think garden party, craft, talented makers, live music and of course homemade cake... who can forget cake?

Today is the last day for Christmas orders!

I'm snuggling down with a cuppa this afternoon and making a good headway on my own Christmas shopping... After trying and failing to post a reel for the 465th time this morning, I've already wasted most of the day procrastinating... (possibly my favourite hobby)

3 days...

Last orders for Christmas is Sunday 12th December!

As everything you buy from me is embossed/hand cut and made to order; including these beautiful textured suede purses (swipe for their close ups); this cut-off date gives me the time to make and dispatch everything in time for the big day.

After this date my website will still be open but new orders will not be processed until January.

In other news the tree is up, the cake is being fed with brandy (at quite regular intervals) and I'm already dreaming of long walks, cured salmon.... Oohhh and the fizz (although it doesn't have to be Christmas for that does it!?)

The spark of an idea always yearns to evolve...

This brand new purse is a twist on an old favourite - my silver sunburst purse.

It's an idea that has been circling my head for a while now; I love how the textured fine black lines I've created layer up and create this striking geometric pattern.

The textures remind me of an illustration with a scratchy fountain pen; replicating all of the beautiful marks you get with ink.

I love it with this bright suede scrunchie too - a perfect pairing.

These little hand-cut pouches remind me of the dusting of snow we had in the Midlands this morning; like icing sugar, covering everything in a icy frosting.

I love savoring this time of year and doing all the things that we don't do throughout the rest of the year - Mulled wine, Christmas cake, Cheese boards piled high with stinky cheese...this appears to be getting a little food heavy (my favourite pastime) so I'll stop, but you get the idea.

So on that note; as almost everything is made to order, last UK orders will be Sunday 12th December as this gives me time to make and dispatch everything in time for Christmas.

I don't know about you, but I'm feeling as though December has just plonked its bum down in the middle of Autumn and I really don't quite feel ready yet!

It was an absolute pleasure to drop off a mixture of some old favourites brand new work like this beautiful confetti pouch at the yesterday, spend some indulgent time viewing the members exhibition and to finally meet the lovely ladies there after lots of emails and messages.

In addition to their shop and gallery in Birmingham the RBSA are hosting a 2 day Christmas pop-up shop next week on Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th December at a beautiful reception space; 54 Hagley Road, Birmingham - featuring a lot of the craft gallery makers, including me!

As a contrasting companion to my bright textured silver 'scribble' embossed pouch I've been playing around with this buttery soft black leather.

You can never tell how a design is going to work when it's first embossed onto a new leather; even if it's one of my well used and tested plates (or if the outcome is going to be as good as you envisage) but I'm really pleased with this one, the black leather really picks out the beautiful texture.

I'd love to see these embossed designs as large textured, statement wall art.

You can now find me as part of a brand new pop up with CURATED MAKERS ™ | EST.2017] in John Lewis!

This little lot (and a lot more!) headed to Manchester a couple of weeks ago and are now wonderfully housed within the pop-up (thanks to Megan and her team) in John Lewis in the Trafford centre.

I'm really excited to be part of this event that opened on Monday; looking at all of the pics and videos of all the designers, makers and artists involved, it's yet again another incredible pop up.

So from now, right up until Christmas as part of the CURATED MAKERS ™ | EST.2017] pop ups you can find me in two of their locations -

Meadow Hall, Sheffield and John Lewis Trafford Centre, Manchester.

The sweet fragrance of leather hits you as you open my front door...

I've recently spent a small fortune on materials, so the whole house has the spiced aroma of beautiful rich earthy leather (although that actually may be because I really have taken over the whole house!)

I'm also up to my ears in scrunchies... although that can't be a bad thing can it?
