I met with the lovely, Becky, for coffee the other day and it was so lovely to catch up! Becky is already a successful business woman but I was so excited to hear that she has also set up the new business Mumunity | a community for mums ✨️🩷💙 doing something that’s really close to her heart! 🤍 Products specifically aimed at mum’s and forming a community. This is a little bit about what she does in her own words..

“My name is Rebecca, and I’m a proud mum to a gorgeous little boy. Becoming a mother inspired me to create Mumunity.

The name came from the idea that all mums are part of one community. We pass each other on the street every day, often wondering what the other might be going through. Are we getting enough sleep? Navigating tantrums? Celebrating first steps? Each of us carries our own story, yet we’re all connected.

After having an emergency C-section, there were certain small comforts that made a huge difference while I lay in hospital for 24 hours, barely able to move. That experience sparked the idea for Mumunity gift boxes — thoughtfully filled with convenient, comforting products just for mums. Whether you’re in hospital, raising a five-year-old, or supporting a teenager, we all deserve a little treat.

I truly hope you love your Mumunity products as much as I’ve loved creating them. I would absolutely love to see you enjoying your delivery, so please feel free to tag us — we’re on most social media platforms.

Lots of love,
Becky x”

It can be so hard to know which bridal shop to choose. It is such an important part of wedding planning and an experience that you want to remember for the right reasons! I’ve posted this before but it has been really helpful for brides so I thought I’d repost. 🤍

✨Checklist of questions to consider BEFORE booking your appointment✨

1. Are the gowns within budget?

Gowns at The Bridal Closet are priced from £300-£1000 with most being between £500-£800. Most are at least half of their original price.

2. Do the gowns fit my personal style?

The Bridal Closet stocks a range of at least 40 different leading bridal designers at any given time. That means there really is something for everyone - most boutiques have exclusivity with just a handful of designers.

3. How much is my appointment and is it exclusive?

Two hour appointments are completely FREE and exclusive to just you and your bridal party!

4. Are there gowns in my size?

The Bridal Closet is passionate about being size inclusive with sizes from 6-28 to suit all body shapes and sizes.

5. What do other brides think of their experience?

My absolute priority is that you feel relaxed and have the best experience! Please see my consistent 5 star reviews on my page and on Google to see other brides’ experiences. 🤍🤍🤍

✨Yes to the Dress✨

It was an absolute dream helping the lovely Alanna find her dream dress, along with her equally lovely mum and sister. She came in open minded but we quickly narrowed it down to the styles that she loved most. When she put on “the one”, her face lit up and without saying too much, she’s going to look incredible!

A huge congratulations, Alanna, on finding your dress! And thank you so much for trusting me in helping you find it. 🤍🤍

✨The top 3 biggest mistakes✨

I just want to start by saying, this advice is very general and won’t apply to every bride and you know what’s best for you, so please ignore anything that doesn’t feel right for you. 🤍

1. Going to too many bridal shops

I know it’s tempting to see what other dresses are out there and there will always be other gowns that you love but if you’ve already had ‘that’ feeling in a gown and have fallen in love with it, going to more bridal shops is only going to confuse you. I’ve had some brides come to me as their fourth wedding shop and the experience has lost its excitement so all gowns start to feel the same.

2. Bringing too many people to your appointment.

Too many people can sometimes mean too many contrasting and confusing opinions. It’s often best to only bring one or two trusted friends or family members who you know will be honest about how the dress looks on you but won’t push their tastes or styles onto you too much or try and sway your choice.

3. Not researching the boutique.

This is a biggie. There’s no point in going to a boutique where the gowns are out of your price range or the styles and designers aren’t to your taste. Often the prices aren’t advertised so it’s important to ask if you have a budget in mind. Contact the boutique prior to making an appointment to ask any questions eg; price range of gowns, designers stocked, ethical practices, whether the appointment is exclusive etc. They will be more than happy to answer any questions you have and make sure they’re suited to you 🤍. Answers to these questions can be found on my pinned post!

Most importantly, enjoy every minute! Wedding dress shopping is, in my humble opinion, the most exciting part of wedding planning! 🤍
