Bee my memory Handmade memory quilts,blankets, bears and Christmas stockings lovingly made from your baby's first clothing or those of a loved one no longer with us.

Let me transform those precious first outgrown baby clothes into a beautiful keepsake item you and your child can treasure forever, let my blankets tell stories of baby's first Christmas, going home outfit, birthdays, christening, holidays, special presents and memories. I use traditional quilting techniques . once I receive your items I carefully cut into assorted squares, individually stabilized

to ensure perfect straight seems .I make sure I include special features within the clothes such as pockets, bows ,motifs ,frills, buttons and necklines. The patches are then carefully stitched together into a beautiful quilt, either in same size squares or mosaic style, whichever is preferred by you. I can personalize your keepsake blanket by applique for a small extra charge or have your childs name,birthweight and date of birth embroidered.

Well… Bank Holiday weekend hasn’t quite gone to plan!
My hands have decided they are absolutely NOT participating in Bank Holiday weekend. 🙈
The arthritis flare-up is pretty spectacular at the moment — swollen, stiff and sore, and my wedding ring is looking increasingly nervous! 😂
So I’m firmly settled on the sofa with a large Galaxy bar, Netflix on and absolutely no intention of sewing this weekend.
I’ll be doing my finger exercises to try and get those knuckles moving again, massaging some lovely oils into my hands and generally feeling just a little bit sorry for myself. 🤣

The husband, meanwhile, will be given a small list of jobs to keep him busy before he heads off to the pub later for some lounge vibes. Fair’s fair, really! 😂
We might visit the in-laws over the weekend too, but for now I’m staying exactly where I am…

So this is where you come in!
I need a good Netflix recommendation. Something addictive, easy to get into and ideally the sort of thing where I tell myself I’ll watch one episode and then suddenly it’s three hours later. 😂
What have you watched recently that I absolutely need to see?
And what are you all doing this Bank Holiday weekend — busy, visiting family, pub, days out… or are you also firmly attached to the sofa like me ?

I’ve been a little quiet on here over the weekend… but I had a very good reason!

My boy got married! 🥹❤️

So I put the sewing machine, social media and everything else to one side for a couple of days and just enjoyed being Mum, watching my son marry his beautiful bride.
It was such a special day, and I’m so glad I allowed myself to switch off and enjoy it.

But I’m back now… and there’s plenty of sewing to catch up on! 😂🧵

Just a little Monday update…

I came across this photo from 7 years ago and I still really love it. Although, fair to say, I’ve aged a little since then! 😂

I love this particular cushion because it’s a lovely example of how you really don’t need a huge amount of clothing to make something special. Just a few Christmas outfits can be turned into a beautiful keepsake like this.

And talking of Christmas… 🎄

I now have 20 sewing slots remaining for Christmas orders.
Those 20 slots could mean 20 little bears, cushions or stockings ,a number of small baby blankets, or just 2 or 3 larger quilts — it completely depends on what comes in.
I’ll be sewing these throughout October, with completion planned for late October and the first week of December, as I’m in Australia for the whole of November.
31st August is the order cut-off date for guaranteed Christmas delivery.
Once those sewing spaces are filled, the next available delivery will be January 2027.
So if you’ve got some special items waiting to become a Christmas keepsake or special gift for someone, now would be a very good time to get it booked. ❤️

Sorry to mention the ‘C’ word in August 🙈
