Extra special celebrating with Fraizer my nephew who was top goal scorer today.
So proud of him and I was proud to wear something I stitched from scratch.

Looking back at July at Artisan Sewing School 🧵✨

Students of all ages and skills brought fabric, imagination and determination. They created such a beautiful variety of projects - bright dresses, shirts, cushion covers, skirts and tee- shirts.

Our Tuesday morning sewing group swapped our sewing studio for a road trip to Empress Mills Colne Lancashire- and wow what a treat.🛍️

I was absolutely blown away by the incredible range of fabrics and sewing supplies there - Huge thank you to Christine and her lovely family for such a warm welcome and for all their support.

We topped off the day with a little retail therapy at Boundary Mills too !
Such a lovely way to recharge, find inspiration and enjoy time together.
I can’t wait to get creating with our new finds next week.

Two Hour Dress Challenge Done 👗✨

Summer (14) and I set ourselves the ultimate test - make a complete dress from start to finish in two hours.
Pattern cut, pinning- sewing- pressing- we raced against the clock - kept cool and we did it .
Look at this gorgeous dress, handmade one of a kind and finished on time.
Proof that with practice, confidence and friendly competition, amazing things happen fast.

Feeling completely joyful in my newest creation ✂️🧵

There is absolutely nothing like the energy of African print fabrics to instantly lift your mood . I just finished this dress , and the bright colours and bold patterns make me feel like walking in sunshine ☀️

For me, one of the greatest joys of making my own clothes is embracing happiness through personal style.

When you make your own clothes,you are the designer
🎨 You choose your exact fabric,pattern and colour.
👗You customise the fit to perfectly suit your unique body shape.
❌You say goodbye to standard factory sizing and boring high street trends.

Teaching others how to sew means helping them discover this feeling of independence. There is nothing like responding to a compliment with “Thanks ,I made it myself!”
