It was a beautiful day at Polkerris today, the water was like a mirror and so clear! We are definitely very lucky to live in such a beautiful place

Another Beach Day for Wisdom Seekers - the pontoon is back and so our brave Wildlings swam, body boarded and paddled out to it under the watchful eye of Dom to have some fun! It was quite a swim until the tide went out a bit.

We also had some Wildlings who took the plunge (literally!), facing their fears in some cases and jumping off the wall multiple times!! So proud of them all

Tribe Teenz will be at Millendreath Beach on Friday so we can take full advantage of this amazing weather and our gorgeous beaches and ocean!

Some photos from our Wisdom Seekers session on Monday

There was great excitement in the woods as one of our Wildlings spotted what she thought might be an eel!

The day was spent trying to spot the eel, digging through large amounts of mud, partly emptying the pond and even setting bucket, pipe, stick and marshmallow traps to try to entice the eel to come out!!

Needless to say, the sensible eel did not make another appearance!!

We also had a wonderful surprise when one of our wonderful Wildlings came back to visit us! And he came bearing delicious gifts too! It was so good to see you again

We had a lovely sunshiney Wisdom Seekers session in the woods today, it was so good to see everyone!

We made use of the last of the elderflowers to make some yummy elderflower fritters on the fire and people made camp fire toasties for lunch too

Some of our Tribe Teenz are really interested in sword fighting so today they made our big platform into a stick and sword fighting arena and spent almost the entire session finding and whittling sticks and practicing their skills. The younger Wildlings also had a go at the (safer!) stick foot fighting, where they have to touch each other's feet with sticks to get points. Great skills

Some very daring downhill balance biking, stream play, ziplining, mud kitchen cupcakes, firelighting, and a new hide was built for bird spotting, a hyper focus for one of our Wildlings! We have no idea what the older girls got up to today as we didn't see them apart from at snack time near the end!

Absolutely loving watching our Tribe grow in confidence and learning and acquiring skills without even realising it! Some great tool and knife work today, even from our younger Wildlings!

Tribe Teenz were wonderful as always!

Today was a woods session and we took advantage of the abundant elderflowers to identify, learn about the history, forage for and process a whole bag of elderflowers! Great knowledge and skills shown by all.

We learned the forking method of processing the elderflowers and then made a cold infusion to add to our sugar syrup, adding some lemon juice in for extra tang. We did a quick 5 mins of plant ID finding out about yarrow and beach rose as well

The fire was lit and we warmed up our veg soup for lunch and then made elderflower head fritters with tempura batter. Our Teenz polished the whole plate off in record time and all agreed that elderflowers are just magical

Next up was starting our arrows and spears. These will take a few weeks as we plan to do some flint knapping for the arrow/spear heads and use real feathers and pine sap glue to make the arrows. Mal then gave everyone a quick sword fighting lesson and he and Dom battled it out with sticks. Thanks, Mal for sharing your wisdom!

Teenz spent the rest of the time doing their own thing and hanging out. The main thing that was heard today throughout was laughter from the Teenz - that is what it is all about, supporting this wonderful group to thrive

It was a bit damp in the woods today but that didn't stop our Tribe having a great time!

We welcomed another new family to our growing community, blown away by how our Wisdom Seekers welcomed a new friend and included her, inviting her to come and play.

Our Tribe is taking full advantage of the beautiful Cornish weather at the moment!

Today was a Tribe Teenz train ride, hike and beach day and what a day it was...!

We started at Liskeard station and took the train to Looe
We then walked to the beach and because it was low tide, we walked, climbed and scrambled our way all the way to Millendreath Beach!

It was quite challenging and took longer than we thought to climb over the rocky headlands at the end of each beach but we made it!
We met some more of our Tribe at Millendreath and then had the most gorgeous afternoon, swimming in crystal clear water, having a beach BBQ and jumping off the wall into the water, catching tadpoles and even a bit of football in the field!

So wonderful to see these awesome young people REALLY growing in confidence, each Teen stepped out of their comfort zones today and completely smashed it!!

Whether you pushed yourself on our hike, dealt with the very busy train, overcame your fear of water/waves/jumping in/being drop off at the beach/making new friends you bossed it and should be super proud of yourselves

Struggling to cool down?
Please don't wish the sunshine away!!
Instead, elderflowers are just coming into abundance. Pick around 10 elderflower heads per person and soak in cold water for a few hours
In a pan boil up 100g sugar and 50g water to make a sugar syrup
Strain the elderflowers and add the elderflower infusion to as much of the cooled sugar syrup as you need and stir well. You can add cold water as well if you like.

If you want to, add a slice or two of fresh lemon and ice cubes
Store in the fridge for a refreshing and cooling drink. For those who may not want to try the drink, you can pour the cordial into ice lolly molds and have some delicious and oh so good for you elderflower ice lollies!

Elderflower is great for your immune system as long as you don't heat it and has loads of great health benefits too

The boys and I are enjoying our first elderflower cordial of the season this evening and we will be making lots of delicious elderflower delights at our sessions over the next few weeks

Tribe Teenz were in the woods this week.
A super chilled session, welcoming more Teenz to our group, celebrating Lettys birthday with a delicious Victoria sponge, whittling spoons and Friendship Foxes and more!

We ran out of time for anything else today, Teenz were happy just to hang out together - hardly any photos either!

Loving how the group is so welcoming to new members and everyone is included and thought of - Teenz, you are all such wonderful souls 💙💚💛

Next week is our coast path hike and beach BBQ!
