I’m Mary Anne, bargain hunter, design lover, incurable DIYer, mother of one & a grandmother of one! No longer living on a narrowboat on the Grand Union Canal near Tring! I have a simple dream: transforming the drab into the fab with an arsenal of needles and thread. I often shop in charity shops, car boot sales, flea markets, and antique stores with an eye for repurposing found objects. My motto i
s ‘fabulous, for less’ and I’ll show you how to fix up your wardrobe and home with finesse, one sewing project at a time. Why be plain when you can be amazing, Sewing Seams Easy opens up a whole new world of fun and creativity. Join us at our groups and classes, I didn't know this much fun could be legal! Why I do what I do! Why do I teach sewing? To bring women together- women talk while they sew, groups become friends. Women support & listen to each other & learn while sewing, it is therapeutic, a hobby you can share at any age. Creating a support network to help each other so no one will feel lonely or feel that no one listens to them. We can laugh at our mistakes – learn from them. Pass on the knowledge to our children & grandchildren. It’s a life skill – makes us appreciate the work that goes into making good clothes that last & having things that fit. Being able to look around your home & say I made those cushions/curtains/soft furnishings. I am contributing to the environment by refashioning/upcycling fabrics.
