ANNOUNCEMENT 📢 Share your stories of 20 Smithdown Place!
We want to open our doors to twenty by telling some of the stories that were here long before us.
This little corner of Liverpool holds so many memories, so many special moments and so much personal history. So it feels only right to make space for them 🤝
That’s why we’re launching The twenty Archive, an invitation to share your memories of 20 Smithdown Place and the surrounding area, and be part of a carefully curated archive that will open when we open twenty’s doors this spring 🌸
From that famous line in the Beatles Penny Lane song (it goes “the banker never wears a mac” if you weren’t sure!), to the generations of local people who have passed through the doors of the Smithdown TSB bank, this building has long been part of Liverpool life. It is a place where couples met and started families and where children (who are now all grown up!) opened their very first bank accounts.
We want to honour those stories ❤️
If you have a memory, photograph or personal moment connected to 20 Smithdown Place or this part of the city, we’d love to hear from you!
Head to the link in our comments to fill in the form and share your story with us!
We’ll be in touch, and selected submissions will become part of a curated mixed media archive exhibition when twenty opens.
