This summer, we're hosting creative workshops for children. All workshops will be focused around our exhibition theme Kaleidoscope and use different mediums and approaches to exploring colour and shape. We have workshops on embroidery, marble fabric painting and more!

Some workshops are for ages 7-13 year olds, and these are delivered by local artists Megan Elinor, Lizzie Pearce and Erin Hughes.

We also have some FREE craft workshops for the whole family for children aged 3+ - Children must be accompanied by an adult so bring the whole family to make a kaleidoscope or a colourful kaleidoscope window!

Week 2 of our latest exhibition, Kaleidoscope! We are open Wednesday to Saturday 10.30 - 4.30! Some wonderfully crafted antique and heritage quilts!

Pop in, look around, buy some bits from our pop up shop then head into for a bite! In this weather, you'll want to be heading to Cobblers for some of their famous Gelato! Kids and well behaved dogs welcome.

CW Maintenance are coming to Minerva Arts Centre to collect any sewing machines that you'd like servicing on the 31st July! If your machine could do with an MOT to get it working nice and smoothly again, drop it in and we'll make sure it gets to them.

We are pleased to say we have been invited back to the Minerva Arts Centre in Llanidloes to offer service & repairs to sewing, embroidery & over locker machines. Simply drop your machines in before 1pm on Friday 31st July.

Found: Car Keys

Found at the Minerva Arts Centre, Llanidloes.

The keys have been handed in to The Angel public house for safekeeping. They'll be open until late tonight.

To claim them, please tell them the registration number on the key tag.

Did you know we also host talks?

We are passionate about textile arts in more ways than one.

And we regularly have events with speakers sharing their knowledge and unlocking the stories behind our historic Welsh quilts and heritage.

All of our talks are free but we do have a suggested donation of £5 - just to help us keep things running!

Coming up we have:

Katherine Gough speaking all about the importance of the rural industries bureau in Wales in the 1930s - this is a great talk to attend if you enjoy history.

A guided tour of our summer exhibition where our lovely trustee Chris will be unlocking the stories behind our quilts - this is a great opportunity to learn more about the people, history and techniques behind the textiles.

Breathe out...

It's been a busy year so far and it's time to take a moment to take care of yourself.

Meditation is a great way to take care of a busy mind and luckily Jenny Smith has kindly offered to host a mindful meditation workshop us!

It will be a practical and experiential session where we can reflect on some of the teachings, ask questions and share some practice together.

We will also identify some of the different ways we can bring mindfulness into our lives going forwards, both through a formal sitting practice and by applying it in moments throughout the day.

Everyone is welcome to come, It is pay what you can - but any funds raised will be put towards the Minerva Art Centres Raise the roof fund.
