Isn't there a saying about choose a job you love so you never feel you're working? Ah - these are the best days of running an independent shop. It's so heart warming when strangers wander in and they embrace the experience ✨️ and you laugh, share a story and part as old friends 🧡 wishing these lovely cyclists a day of happiness and adventure as they wend their way through the Cambrian Mountains.

Today's cake offering is a gentle two layer chocolate banana sponge with a cream cheese icing on top and buttercream in between. A few white choc buttons found within and some decorative walnuts. It's very rich and oozing luxury and decadence whilst remaining wholesome as it includes some fruit in the mix 😋

I'm open 10 - 2 today Thursday and then 10 - 4 Friday & Saturday with one delicious lemon & blueberry cake. Thank you Lorna Bryncelyn Guesthouse for this delicious treat - in spite of having a very full hotel full of guests!

It's been a really wonderful week enjoying all the spectacles of the Royal Welsh Show. Now - back to work!

What better way to start a summer holiday than a hunking great slice of chocolate fudge cake! Thank you Lorna Bryncelyn Guesthouse for this amazing cake.

I apologise as over the coming 4 weeks my opening hours are prone to vary as we factor in school holidays and moving house! I will do my best to be open in weekday mornings 10 - 1 Tuesday - Friday and then 11 - 4 on Saturdays. I will be here additional hours but will commit to the above!

So hop on down this week in the mornings to grab a slice of this delicious cake. Eat in or take away - £3.75 a slice.

If I've been a little quiet lately it's with good reason. It turns out that, quite without intention or expectation, I've bought a house. I'll be 49 soon and clearly I'm late to the party but can't imagine my excitement is any the less for the waiting! More details to follow but for now I just feel incredibly grateful as this all has only been made possible by huge amounts of prayer and the generous support of good friends and family. As one might understand - purveyors of second hand clothes and musicians aren't good on paper financially speaking 😆

I look forward to sharing the miraculous story of how we have ended up taking on the Old Post Office in Llanwrtyd Wells ( or Britainnia House)
