A.P.C. QUILTS Round 30.

A project born in 2010 from and ’s shared love of patchwork and a desire to give new life to the brand’s accumulated fabric stocks.

Each quilt is made from past-collection materials in limited runs, telling a story of care, reuse, and timeless design.

For Round 30, Jessica found inspiration walking along the Brighton seafront, struck by the Victorian tiled steps outside every doorway, each with its own unique pattern. She photographed them, printed the images, then cut and reassembled them into collages to map out the quilt’s design. Deliberately mismatched fragments, where their clash becomes a structural principle when building the quilts.

“Now, a small pattern I would have walked past automatically becomes a quilt pattern. It has changed the way I photograph the world, always looking for the underlying structure.” commented Jessica

Paying homage to Brighton’s history as an emblematic city of Mod culture, Jean Touitou decided to name each quilt after a song by the legendary band The Who.
