JANUARY BLUES🌱
The new year sparks new beginnings, a perception that with every reset on the calendar we magically alter our personalities into something more aspirational.
With the pandemic still dictating the way we spend our time we all turn to social media to get out fix of social acceptance or even justification in some way shape or form.
Many small business owners like myself have perpetuated the idea that starting a small business is all glitters and rainbows but I feel it is time to change that narrative. Transparency will now begin to sew its seeds into both the supply chain but also how the business in run and even into more personal aspects of my life.
Launching in October has been a slow progress with very few small gains and rewards. In fact the only way to describe the first few months of being a small business owner is isolating. That paired with having covid twice in four months, a break up and starting a two new jobs the whole process has been more than underwhelming.
This is a PSA… it’s ok not to be ok! So while I take a step back to understand how best to take not only my business but myself forward. I can’t wait for the adventure and welcome every small business owner to join me on my quest to being honest about how tough running a small business can be🤍
