Can a coat be turned into a skirt?! Yes it can.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Einna’s tweed coat, reimagined and re-draped into a structured A-line skirt — now her new favourite piece! Proof that the best things in your wardrobe might already be there, just waiting for a second life.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
No one believes Einna until they see her before and after. Glamcycling at its purest form.

Sometimes a fabric, a print, or a detail deserves a second life.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Reworking India’s dress — once loved, now reimagined as a day top and skirt. As my clients’ lifestyles evolve, it becomes an interesting challenge to translate their existing wardrobe into pieces that suit their life now.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So often we hold on to pieces because we love the fabric, a pattern, or a detail. Reworking these garments allows them to be returned to our wardrobe as fresh favourites.

An evening dedicated to the craft of upcycling at BRINK Gallery. Joining forces with the talented artist Julia Mottram, we explored sustainability through materials, circular processes, and imagination. The centre piece of our discussion - a DesignBlender glamcycled pellerine made from reimagined leftover wool from Julia’s previous works.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Working with what already is, I cut around shapes and textures, letting the material guide the design. Finished by hand with couture techniques and bedazzled with crystal chandeliers. A playful fashion experiment in turning remnants into something entirely new.

A tender note on energy..which never disappears, never gets lost but, rather transforms into one form from the other. A loving moment of this dress in the 80s which resurfaced into 3 different designs. chose to rewear her mother’s wedding dress. We transformed it into three ideas for her special day: 1 for her main Ceremony, 2 for her Dance and 3 for her Party. The lived glory of the eternal love between partners that carries on, the symbol of union and all a woman projects onto this one single garment. How beautiful to see it be passed on and recelebrated.

Olivia had a wedding to attend! She had ‘the Dress’ and she had ‘the Vibe’ but, something about the design was not quite there yet. Working together we uplevelled her design to make her feel glamorous and ready to party! Shortening the hem we used the material to create flirty drama sleeves, re-fitted her bodice to highlight that waist and gave her a sexy lace-up back. Her look turned out fun and sophisticated, making this personalised design a dress that she will keep forever in her wardrobe🤍
