The Separation

I have carefully removed the beads from their original cords
(Pic 2).

I used a partially we cloth to gently clean each bead individually and cotton buds for the inner side of each bead. Look how beautiful and shiny they are. ✨😍

I have such a sweet tooth and couldn’t help but remember some childhood sweets that reminded me of the coral beads.

My customer has had this necklace for over 20 years and has trusted me to adapt this piece for her son’s forthcoming wedding.

Coral beads have been synonymous with Igbo traditional weddings for centuries and associated with royalty and wealth.

My late mother had so many traditional pieces dating back to her wedding day in December 1956.
