It has been a year since I paused our new designs. A lot has happened during this time — moving to the other side of the world, losing a family member (my little fur baby), and going through my first (and hopefully last!) surgery in my life. With everything happening one after another, I felt I needed to stop for a while. I wanted to prioritise myself and think about what I really want in life.
Over the past year, I realised how important self love is. When life becomes too much, it really is ok to pause. It’s ok to choose ourselves first. At one point, I did worry whether people would forget about me or the brand, but I also believe that whenever I’m ready, I can always start again.
During this break, a few people still reached out to ask about my next collection. For that, I’m truly thankful. You have no idea how much it means to me. Many people don’t know this, but I didn’t study fashion design and never worked in the fashion industry. That’s why I’ve never called myself a fashion designer — just an entrepreneur who followed her dream. So when I received so many kind messages after my LFW show, I was honestly very touched and surprised. And for the very first time, after this long journey, I finally feel like I can say I’m a fashion designer.
I still don’t know exactly where this journey will go, or how much more time I need to pause, but I hope the brand will slowly come back to life again. When the time feels right, I hope to bring back designs that women will love — Simple, Classy and Timeless pieces that make women feel confident!
