That stare. 🥹👀

You put your baby down for a nap, quietly sneak out of the room, and then...

Those big beautiful eyes are staring right back at you.

Our first instinct is often to rush in the moment we see they're awake. But if your baby is calm and content, sometimes the best thing to do is simply give them a minute.

Babies don't always fall asleep the second they close their eyes. Sometimes they need a little time to look around, process their world, wriggle into a comfortable position and settle in their own way.

And honestly? Watching that adorable little stare on the monitor might be one of the cutest parts of parenting. ❤️

🌡️ Sleeping Through a Heatwave? Here’s How to Keep Little Ones Cool 😴👶

Hot nights can make sleep tricky for babies and toddlers, especially when they can’t regulate their body temperature as well as adults. Here are some gentle ways to help them stay cool and sleep more comfortably during a heatwave:

☀️ Keep bedrooms shaded during the day
🛁 Try a lukewarm bath before bed
👕 Dress them in light pure cotton sleepwear
🌬️ Use a fan to circulate air (not blowing directly on them)
💧 Offer extra fluids throughout the day
🛏️ Keep bedding minimal and breathable
🦥 Maintain bedtime routine as much as possible

For babies under 1, the room should ideally stay between 18–20°C where possible or as closest as you can get to that. A good tip: check the back of their neck or chest. If they’re sweaty or hot, remove a layer.

And remember… sleep may be a little more unsettled during very hot weather, and that’s completely normal ❤️
