🍂HER EMBRACE🍂

🍂 Often the first thing that people question about my work is my purposeful exposure of the female body. It is an interesting conversation to have; all respectful opinions are valid!

🍂To me it’s an important aspect of my work because my art style has been heavily influenced by going to galleries and drawing other peoples’ muses.

🍂However, often what we consider classical is also almost synonymous with the male gaze (which often positions the female body as an inherently sexual object).

🍂I don’t hold myself responsible or representative of the entirety of the female gaze at all. But…

🍂This is just one mosaic of how someone who has that body sees it, their relationship with it, whilst trying to deconstruct what social expectations would like to say about those experiences..

🌻F!GMENTS🌻

🌻The first collection is entitled F!GMENTS (with 8 stories to tell)

🌻F!GMENTS is an exploration of what I have tried to conceptualise as a life force. Each piece explores a different relationship that one may have with the very nature of their existence.

🌻Whilst we are told to mindlessly conceive our lives as great gifts, the collection explores how it may be a burden, a challenge, a triumph, a love affair. Something precious or something hated but always dynamic.

🌻Our relationships with ourselves always morphing into steps of an intricate dance.

🍄Meet The Artist🍄

🍄I’m a 19 year old Lithuanian artist (although I have been living in London since I was three years old). I personally love an oversized anything and a killer outfit (what’s wrong with being a little overdressed?).

🍄Quick fire round:
-> I study psych at uni (don’t worry I can’t read your mind…yet)
->Originally got into art through painting (acrylics chose me not I them)
->I’m a (very) amateur skateboarder
->I would live in a cabin in the middle of the woods if I could
->I think cats will one day take over the world

🍄The Weeping Willow also has a lovely CEO called Sylvester (he is really the brains of the operation). We all can only ever hope to reach his genius :)

🍄It’s always been my biggest dream to have the bravery to share my work with the world and hopefully/maybe/somehow/fingers crossed have it something I can live off and live for. So as much as this is a therapy for me I hope it can bring recognition, joy or the basis of an amazing outfit for you guys❤️
