r.l.e Autumn/Winter 2026 Behind the Scenes
In a time that barely allows hesitation, we are constantly pushed to decide who we are and who we are becoming. For r.l.e Autumn/Winter 2026, Play House imagines a space where identity does not need to resolve so quickly — a place to create freely, experiment, and simply exist.
Inspired by a line from Wild Flowers, “For a while I was half skin half breath, neither one thing nor another,” the collection inhabits a state of becoming that is suspended, undefined, and still forming. embraces a state of becoming. Subtle references to the 1920s appear not only through silhouette but through pace — a time when waiting still existed and identity unfolded more slowly.
Buttercream cakes, tulle skirts, corsets are reassembled in a contemporary language where softness meets structure and transparency meets weight. Craftsmanship remains central in r.l.e’s universe, crochet, knotting and hand-knit techniques transform discarded fabric scraps into new textiles, allowing time and process to remain visible within each garment.
