Loft update 🤍

After a few requests, I wanted to go back and cover another early stage that I skipped over, architect pricing.

I’m not an expert, and this isn’t professional advice. I’m simply sharing what I’ve learned while going through our own loft conversion, in case it helps someone else who’s just starting their renovation journey.

I realised I’d jumped straight into planning without talking about some of these practical first steps, so I’m trying to fill in the gaps as we go. I hope it’s useful, and as always, thank you for all your questions and suggestions.

Loft update 🤍

Before moving further into pricing and detailed planning, I wanted to take a step back and cover something I completely skipped over at the beginning of this journey, how to find an architect.

A few of you asked for this, and it made me realise I jumped straight into the planning stage without properly explaining this first step. So I thought it would be useful to go back and share what I did and what I would recommend if you’re starting your own renovation or build project.

I’ve been going through more of your questions and suggestions on our loft plans because I really want to make sure we’re all aligned before anything gets finalised. I genuinely appreciate how much thought and detail you’ve all put into your comments, it’s been incredibly helpful.

I can’t believe I’m saying this… but I only bought what I needed. 🤍

A quick stop at the supermarket after Pilates and for once I came home with exactly what was on the list. No pastries, no random extras, just the essentials. I think that’s worth celebrating!

Part 3 of my loft conversion planning series 🤍

This is the final part of my rough Canva layout walkthrough, where I’m explaining my ideas for the skylights and windows. One of my biggest goals is to make the loft feel bright, open and full of natural light.
