The Royal Oak in Keswick has completed the final phase of its £1.2 million transformation, with its bar and restaurant now open following a brief closure.

The historic inn has reopened with 18 individually styled bedrooms, new bathrooms, updated interior design and a refreshed food and drink offer. The refurbishment has been timed ahead of a busy period for Keswick, with the return of the Keswick Mountain Festival, summer beer festivals, lakeside theatre, freshwater swims and the town’s Victorian Christmas programme.

Sea Containers London and Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global have announced a new partnership to launch Gordon Ramsay at Sea Containers on London’s South Bank this autumn.

The restaurant will become the hotel’s main dining destination, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner for hotel guests and London diners. It will also feature an outdoor riverside terrace with views across the River Thames and the London skyline.

.family has announced plans for a new food hall at in Nottingham. The project, named Clocktower Works, will be located within the centre’s Clocktower dining quarter and forms part of the next phase of investment at the city-centre destination.

Scheduled to open in Summer 2026, Clocktower Works will comprise a 17,500 sq ft space accommodating 14 independent Food Partners, alongside a bar and a coffee shop. The scheme is intended to bring together a range of independent food concepts within a single venue in the heart of Nottingham.

.restaurant has officially opened in London, introducing a new Italian restaurant concept within overlooking the Italian Gardens of Hyde Park. Conceived as a contemporary interpretation of the traditional Italian trattoria, Tortello focuses on handmade pasta, regional cooking and craft-led design.

The restaurant can be accessed either through the hotel or via its own private street entrance, giving it the character of a neighbourhood restaurant while remaining closely connected to the wider hotel environment.
