New year, old me.

Most of you know, I started LuHu Studio in 2022 when I went on maternity leave, as a way to keep making jewellery from the warm cost comfort of my spare room rather than heading down to the icy cold workshop to play with lots of fun materials that were not safe to use during pregnancy.

Since then, I've had two lovely Christmas seasons of selling my fun colourful earrings at lots of lovely local craft fairs and markets as well as online.

Now I'm heading into 2024 with a one year old 🤩 I feel like the time is right to hang up my clay earrings and get back into the world of fine jewellery 💎 I popped down to the workshop last week to do a quick repair for a friend and being back at the bench brought so much joy!

I am a sucker for a fresh start, starting something new on a Monday or on the 1st always seems like a good idea, tomorrow is a double whammy!

2024 is the year of little steps leading to big things, I love watching behind the scenes of industries that I don't know much about and would love to share more behind the scenes of the process of making jewellery, if you'd like to see, follow along

DECEMBER 🎄

Woohoo! Christmas is my favourite time of the year so for me it starts on the 1st November with listening to Christmas every day to get me in the festive mood and then the tree goes up on 1st December.

This year we are a lights & bows only household because Macie dog thinks all trees and anything ball shaped are just for her and Sonnie boy is in his grabbing era 😂

There's a definite pattern with sales around this time of year, the first wave is the early organised November customers, followed by the "wow it's December" customers and finally the ones, like me, who order on the last postage date (20th December by the way!)

Wowzers it is getting busy around here!

This weekend is a double Christmas fair bonanza for me 🙌

On Saturday I will be back with the wonderful in Upminster ❤️ 10am - 3pm

On Sunday I will be at Tweedway Hall for the Christmas Bazaar, I hear they have mulled wine & mince pies 🍷 🥧 11am - 3pm

Happy Friday party people 🎉

Tomorrow is a big day!

It's my first in person, real life market of the season with I would love love love to see you, I will be at the Upminster Windmill hall from 10-3 having the time of my life, baby free for a few hours (can't stop thinking about a hot cup of tea ☕️)

Happy Sunday 💛

Firstly, thank you so much for all of the orders and lovely comments on my first Halloween collection, I will always be very grateful for your support.

My Etsy shop is now closed while I get ready for Christmas 🎄 I've had the best time this weekend listening to Christmas tunes while getting on with making, ready for some beautiful festive events this year!

I'm still waiting on details for a few more Christmas events but wanted to share some of the places that you'll be able to find me this November & December. These events are an amazing opportunity to get your Christmas shopping well underway while supporting some amazing local small businesses.

I can't wait to share some of my new festive designs with you over the coming days before they are officially launched on Wednesday 1st November so keep an eye out for some sneak peaks 👀
