Bomber seat done! Just need to fit it to the wagon now. Been really good working with sheet metal again, it’s been a long time and I’d forgotten how much I enjoy it. Not keen on the upholstery part but it came out well. Straps in, brackets made, looks smart enough to me! Been quite a process doing this with no sheet metal tools but it’s been fun working around that! Test ride this weekend hopefully!

Radio flyer wagon update. The bomber seat now looks like a bomber seat. Holders drilled and dimpled. I wanted it to look authentic and pop rivets would ruin that, so I had set solid copper rivets. I gave it a brushed look with a bit of patina because if I polish it up like chrome, it means I’m going to have to keep polishing it forever! Next, fitting a cushion and harness to keep the lad strapped in!

That’s the wagon done! Chopped up some exhausts I had laying around. Pretty happy with how it’s come out. Candy paint is popping, dust caps to match, should be a pretty happy little boy when he gets to ride in it! Undecided on whether to put the wooden sides on or if it’ll crowd the wagon, I’ll decide once the seat is done 😎
