Selected Goods for the Independent Mind since 2007. The Goodhood Store opened its doors on a backstreet in Hoxton, Shoreditch in September 2007.

Started as a self initiated, self funded project to curate some of the finest clothing collections and objects from around the world, it's initial purpose was to support like minded brands from around the world who shared our ideas of independence, exclusivity and quality. Shortly there after came the webstore which has grown to becoming an industry leading website and along with the store carries

some of the worlds most prestigious lines. An ongoing collaboration with R. Newbold started in 2008 and reaching into it's 4th year has been an integral part of defining the Goodhood Store aesthetic; each season a capsule collection is produced offering The Goodhoods Stores own take on the effortlessly style now synonymous with the store. In December 2010 the store expanded onto 2 floors so that dedicated space could be offered to both men and women. Early 2011 saw the opening of a new studio space called The Goodhood Workshop housing our own offices as well as an exhibition space in conjunction with Galeries Goldsein (G.A.G), which plays host to new and thought provoking exhibitions as well as one off launches like the U.K launch of the Carhartt Heritage line. The Goodhood Store remains unique in it's brand identity, it's culture, it's level of service and as a space men and women can both find the best of a worldwide curated selection of goods.

We had the pleasure of welcoming to Goodhood for the latest edition of Good People. Co-founder of NorthSouth Records, one half of Brainsurfers and a resident at Half Baked, Sam has built a reputation as one of the most respected selectors around, with a sound shaped by years spent digging far beyond the obvious.

Having started DJing at just 12 years old, his approach is rooted in curiosity and digging rather than genre, drawing together everything from house and techno to reggae, soul, funk and hip-hop. The result is a style that feels deeply personal, blending unexpected records, rolling grooves and moments of pure surprise into sets that always tell a story.

We had the pleasure of welcoming the NYC trio made up of Grace Dumdaw and twin brothers Lance and Matthew Tran, whose genre-warping blend of alternative, jazz, electronic and indie sounds has quickly made them one of the most exciting new bands coming out of New York, into Goodhood for a style drop and catch-up.

Be sure to keep up with their latest releases and live shows as the trio continue carving out a lane entirely of their own, blending raw emotion, eclectic influences and a deeply collaborative spirit that feels impossible to pin down.

For the look, Grace wears the Gemma Top in Grey, paired with the Brain Dead Type 00 15oz Selvedge Denim Pant W in Washed Indigo and layered with the Observe Seersucker Plaid Shirt in Brown Blue. Originally designed in 1949 as Case Study House No. 8, the Eames House became more than a landmark of Mid-Century Modern architecture. Built by Charles and Ray Eames as both home and studio, the Pacific Palisades property reflected their wider philosophy around design, technology and everyday living.

Constructed from prefabricated materials developed during the Second World War, the house balanced industrial structure with warmth, light and openness. Its modular steel frame, coloured panels and flowing interior spaces embodied the couple’s belief that design should quietly improve the experience of daily life.

Today, the Eames House remains one of the clearest expressions of Charles and Ray’s wider legacy, which extended far beyond furniture into film, graphics, exhibitions and cultural exchange. Through the newly established Charles & Ray Eames Foundation, their family continues preserving not only the house itself, but the optimistic and deeply human approach to design that shaped it.
