'Titus Andronicus' at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre 2014
Controversial design by the wonderful William Dudley who has sadly passed away at the age of 78.
We worked for Bill over the years on many of his creative costume designs.
He will be sadly missed.

Here's a more detailed look of 'Titus Andronicus'

Black Set Design:
Dudley's design transformed the Globe theatre into a "theatre of death" with black pillars, effectively shrouding the stage in darkness.
Claustrophobic Atmosphere:
The use of the black velarium, along with the sound of sharpened knives, created a sense of impending doom and forced the audience to feel the oppression of the play's events, according to a review.
