Out of hours: Last weekend one of us manned the shop while the other one got to hang out at Eddfest in Knebworth, the UK stop on Iron Maiden's 'Run for your Lives' 2026 tour.

Not just a gig, the site was home to a Maiden experience like none before. The Infinite Dreams museum displayed artefacts, props and instruments, Eddie's Dive Bar was the biggest yet, there were fairground rides as well as multiple merch stands and on Friday night there was a warm-up show with a line-up curated by Steve Harris. 🤘

Photos were taken outside of festival hours, hence the lack of thousands of punters in the background.

We are back from a few weeks off social media. Today we are editing some of the backlog of photos that we took of a selection of the great people who visited us. Out of hours: Last night we paid a visit to fan-owned Clapton Community Football Club (CCFC) to support our friends the Clapton Punks in celebrating their 10th anniversary at their clubhouse, The Old Spotted Dog. It was the first of a two day festival and kicked off early in the afternoon. We got there after we shut the shop to catch Violent Disorder, Criminal Damage and Takers 'n' Users. We met up with friends, some who we have not seen in years, and we made new ones.

Clapton CFC regularly host events to support many charities and this weekend’s gigs benefit The Magpie Project who support homeless mums in their neighbourhood.

Brilliant night, brilliant people, brilliant bands and brilliant cause.

Yesterday a guy whose work we are in awe of walked into the shop and we ended up having a lock in after closing time, just the three of us.

Jeff Churchill (Jitterbug Boy) is on a work trip from Canada, fitting shoes on some well-known stars of the screen and stage. Our lips are sealed as to their identities. A self-taught design maestro, his footwear has been seen on the leading actors of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Masters of the Universe, Superman, Deadpool and Wolverine, Oppenheimer, Stranger Things, Dracula, Spider-Man: Far from Home and more. We could go on and on and on.

We shared stories. Jeff's were a lot more interesting than ours. What an absolute total diamond he is with zero ego. Respect.
