The Arabic word “3eib” (عيب) — meaning shame or disgrace — has long been used to silence and control those who deviate from socially constructed norms.
3EIB is taking back this word ~ embedding itself in a feminist legacy that challenges oppressive power structures and celebrates authenticity.
We’ll open the evening with a short experimental film by Kurdish artist , created from archival and found footage exploring the idea of “3eib” / “عيب” and its imprint on media and culture.
We’ll then move the conversation to the community — to share, reflect, and imagine what it might mean to live without shame.
