Project Pico

Project Pico Essentials goods with traceable stories, starting with fair trade organic cotton underwear. PICO has begun it's journey with everyday underwear.

Made out of the softest organic cotton, the three styles are simple, classic and understated and designed and made with a lot of thought and care. We want to encourage an appreciation for everyday wares and to create a connection to the people and processes behind their making. Project # 01 follows the story of a pair of PICO pants; from the organic cotton fields to the small Fairtrade factory in

the South of India. We would love PICO pants to become your favourites and for you to join our journey!

The beautiful throws at as part of the .

This exhibition has been curated in such a thoughtful way and all the stories of the textiles sing in this space. It is so worth a visit and you can do so everyday until the 25th November 11am - 5pm. Well done and for all your hard work putting it together.

This Exhibition is in Association with Khadi London & Saori Studio Sponsored by the Gandhi Foundation (
)

We are there with - and you can see all the beautiful fibres and materials, and people we have been working with to produce these kits displayed. The slipper kit provides an opportunity to engage in the production processes from beginning to end, and practice traditional craft while supporting the revival of small and medium scale fibre production within the UK. This is a exciting collaboration between ourselves (.goods) and and we can't wait to share more with you over the coming year.

Today’s dyeing vats full of turmeric, soap nuts and ash ready for lots of natural fibres and textiles to be submerged, heated, soaked and stirred until they turned different shades of sunshine yellow. Amazing to see the rainbow of colours that nature can produce and hear about the healing power of Ayurvedic ingredients.

We are really looking forward to running an embroidery workshop on Monday 2nd Dec (6:30-8:30) . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We will be teaching how to embroider initials onto one of our .goods organic cotton hand towels or face cloths. These towels make a really lovely gift and will be made extra-special by the personal touch of adding your own hand embroidery. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
No prior experience of embroidery needed and an opportunity to practice handwork together. If it sounds interesting, follow the link bio or search ‘Pico embroidery workshop’ on Eventbrite.
Do let us know if you have any questions. We would love for you to join us and think it will be a really special evening in a really great space. @ KIOSK

We first met Kishore at an event about mindful manufacturing 4 years ago, when he was at the start of setting up .London and we were at the beginning of our Pico journey.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Since then, Kishore has been an incredible support and friend to us and we feel a lot of gratitude for the immense amount of knowledge he has shared with us and all the people he has connected us to, both here in the UK and in India.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It has been exciting to see Khadi.London grow and we enjoy catching up with Kishore regularly and seeing his most recent collections of swatches of hand spun, handwoven & naturally dyed khadi and hearing updates about many of the co-operatives we have been fortunate to visit. He has provided similar support to many brands like ours and it is so wonderful to see so many people working with and sharing the story of Khadi as a result.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Kishore, alongside Paula from , Janine and have been organising the second Festival of Natural Fibres which will be held at the stunning Craft Central venue on Sat 9th Nov.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Amongst other activities, the day will include a range of panel discussions, workshops and demos all centering around crafts, the future of fabrics, organic supply chains and an ethical revolution.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You can find tickets and more info about the event by searching "festival of natural fibres" on Eventbrite. We're really looking forward to it and it would be great to see some of you there too. @ Craft Central
