So today we celebrate Flora, the Goddess of Flowers 😊💐🎂🌸 She has been celebrated on this day since medieval times when it's thought that all that dancing around maypoles also began 🎶💃👍

This month also sees some of our most beautiful yet short-lived blooms come into season such as peonies, lily of the valley and lilac, as in the picture. I'm using this in my wedding flowers workshop at Sydenham Gardens this evening. It's very precious as it only flowers for about 3 weeks in May, so enjoy it while you can. 😊

Just a few weeks until my Simple Wedding Flowers workshop where you can learn how to make a bridesmaid's bouquet and a simple buttonhole. We will be using flowers that are available all year round so that you can replicate what you have learned at anytime. 💐The class will take place at the lovely Sydenham Gardens and is suitable for anyone thinking of making their own wedding flowers or just keen to learn some floristry skills. All materials are provided, no experience necessary 😊🌺
