Seeing Oceanus runway collection feature in Vogue is one of those moments that makes you pause and reflect on just how far a dream can travel.
When I founded Oceanus, I wanted to create pieces that blurred the line between swimwear, resortwear and couture craftsmanship — garments that felt like wearable art, designed not just to be worn, but to tell a story.
Paradise After Dark was inspired by the Amazon rainforest at dusk; that magical moment when the jungle transforms. Exotic wildlife, tropical blooms, shimmering waters and rich colours became the starting point for a collection that celebrates nature’s beauty through intricate hand embroidery, crystal embellishment and artisanal craftsmanship.
Every animal, flower and motif was carefully illustrated and translated into thousands of hand-applied beads and embellishments by our incredible artisans. What began as sketches and mood boards evolved into a runway collection of over 60 looks, each designed to capture a sense of escapism, glamour and wonder.
As a founder, there are so many moments that happen behind the scenes that nobody sees — the challenges, the risks, the sleepless nights and the constant belief required to keep building. That’s why seeing this runway collection recognised by Vogue feels especially meaningful.
Thank you to the Oceanus team, our artisans, partners, models and everyone who continues to support our journey. And thank you to Vogue México & Latin America for selecting Oceanus to feature on the Vogue runway at Miami Swim Week and for this feature on Paradise After Dark sharing the story behind the collection.
This one is for everyone who has believed in Oceanus from the very beginning. 🤍
