πŸŒΊπŸ’š We can’t believe it’s already been one whole week since and Councillor Sabrina Francis unveiled β€˜Camden Blossoms’ - the incredible new mural by Kentish Town born-and-bred artist Matt Small () on the side of Talacre Sports Centre.

Although our Windrush festivities have come to a close for this year, the memories, stories and celebrations continue to live on - and now so does this beautiful piece of public art. Made using a mix of found and donated materials, this is a lasting legacy, honouring the incredible contributions of the Windrush generation and the generations that followed.

You HAVE to go and see this. πŸ‘€πŸŒΊ Take your time with it - you could spend hours discovering the intricate details, hidden stories, textures and layers of meaning woven into this incredible artwork. Every element has a story to tell.

Rooted in Camden, Camden Blossoms was created through conversations and workshops with local Windrush community members, elders, schools and residents, the mural reflects the strength, creativity and resilience of Caribbean communities who made Camden their home.

As Matt Small says:
β€œCamden Blossoms celebrates the immeasurable contributions of the Windrush generations to not only Camden but to the entire country.”

πŸ“Go and experience Camden Blossoms at Talacre Sports Centre, Kentish Town.
