Turk Jadallah's debut European haute couture fashion show at Claridge's London.
Schmoozing over hors d'oeuvres & drinks in Claridge's Ballroom were a select group of royals, international socialites, jet setters, business people & fashionistas.
Turk Jadallah is a young British/Turkish/Saudi Arabian designer with a love of the theatrical. Showing outside the Middle East for the first time, his debut European haute couture dress collection is full of drama, layers, ruffles, monochrome elegance and pink. The bewitching haute couture collection was all about the extravagant.
On a twinkling catwalk, the models were statuesque in huge, princess ballgowns with bows, taffeta roses, feathers and hot-to-trot in fancy, thigh-skimming cocktail dresses.
Co hosted by Princess Kasia Al-Thani & Ahmed Ashmawi, seated in the front row were Neda Kirdar, Rena Kirdar Abboud, Prince Walid Bin Saud, Prince Nawaf Al-Saud, Patti & Andy Wong, Prince Tikka of Kapurthala, Hilde Sole, Aysegul Nadir Deniz, Mete Deniz, Fitri Hay, Minnie Osmena, Ella Krasner, Michele Herbert, Lucia Hwong Gordon, Jeorge Outerello Tejada, Irache Villada, Anouchka Blatnik, Suzan Yilmaz, Sadegh Dolatshahi, Lisa Tschenguiz, Steve Varsano, Suzi Brown, Ghida Hamadeh, Soren Tholstrup, Jack Ashton, Catherine Hendy, Mona Khashoggi, Karen Thompson Saffarian, Gilad Yogev, Michelle Anselmo, Ko Barclay, Brett Alligood, Benedicte Howard, Bilal Mekkaoui, Amar Alamdar, princesses of the Saudi Arabian royal family & Arun Nayar who's beautiful girlfriend Kim Johnson opened Turk Jadallah's debut European show twice due to a lighting malfunction which only added a frisson of excitement & an element of drama.
Turk Jadallah's European debut Audrey Hepburn inspired haute couture fantasy frocks collection truly took the breath away. The sublime fusion of over-the-top Middle Eastern glamour with a Carrie Bradshaw-esque sense of New York City Big Apple romance is thouroughly intoxicating.
