We’ve never been big fans of the resortwear notion.

It projects a sense that people need to be in fancy dress on their holidays. For our money, the best holiday style is an extension of our normal wardrobes.

Our Holiday Edit was created with that exact sentiment in mind. It has all the usual OF design DNA, in an array of fabrics that will excel in the hottest summer climates.

Based on the fit of our ever-popular Railway Jacket, this new style is our take on a vintage Japanese stonecutter’s jacket sourced on a research trip to Tokyo.

The heat of Japanese stonecutting studios in mid summer places a tricky set of demands on clothing - it needs to be sufficiently hard wearing to put up with the physical demands of working with stone with enough breathability to keep its wearer cool under the collar.
Those competing demands are met by a lightweight, garment washed cotton twill with a super soft handle that sits easy on the skin. Form, function, and comfort working in perfect harmony.
