Jislain wears our single breasted classic notch suit in grey hopsack single breasted with a notch lapel, this suit is presented in a dark grey hopsack weave fabric. The jacket has straight side pockets, side vents and working buttonholes. This mid-weight wool has a gentle textured and matt finish.

Made by hand, our suits feature a full floating canvas, hand padded lapel, natural soft shoulders with a pronounced waist and high armhole for an elegant silhouette.

The trousers feature side adjusters, zip fly and a higher rise and tapered leg for an elegant, comfortable fit. The trouser size is a 6″ drop from the jacket size and are left unfinished to tailor as required.

Escorial is a rare and luxurious wool with a history stretching through the centuries. In 1340 Spanish Royalty took possession of a unique flock originating in the North African Mahgreb to nurture on the Escorial plains north west of Madrid.

Escorial is distinctive to all other natural fibres, it has a unique crimp within the heart of the fibre, performing as a naturally coiled spring. It is this curly attribute that delivers fluidity in the Escorial fabric making a lightweight garment with extraordinary drape and crease resistance.

Our Story

Cad & The Dandy was founded by Ian Meiers and James Sleater, who met through their families connections in the couturier business. Whilst Sleater focused on the look and feel of the tailored garments, Meiers brought the desire to drag British tailoring and London’s Savile Row back to the cutting edge of Menswear.

This partnership, and shared quest, has ensured that the tailoring house has become Savile Row’s largest in just 11 years. Since its establishment in 2008, the company has opened three shops across London, each with their own bespoke workshops, making garments for members of The Royal Family and stars of the big screen.

All our garments retain the intricacies of traditional English handwork but have been blended with a sleek fusion of modern style, slimmer shoulder padding and more pronounced waist, creating a look that is both contemporary and unique to the house.

Cad & The Dandy’s sleek silhouette continues to remain in demand the world over resulting in a furthered overseas expansion. The company bought Scandinavia’s oldest Tailoring business in 2017 – Götrich was founded in 1730 in Stockholm and is tailor to the Royal House. In 2018 the company expanded its presence in New York, opening at 130 W57th Street, in Mid-Town Manhattan, with another shop in Soho planned to open in 2020.
