Our fashion line looks at interesting phrases in foreign languages, and with a keen eye on social trends, associates the phrases with innovative designs and illustrations. The ultimate scope is that of creating a brand with a cultural and social purpose.

Black F**day

We’ve never loved Black Friday exactly, you probably know that by now.

For a while we avoided discounts and donated to the World Land Trust instead, but over the last few years it’s become harder for small independent brands to not take part.

We all need to make savings sometimes.

So yes, we’re taking part… quietly, reluctantly, and with our own little twist: Black F**day.

Inspired by the Mãori phrase ‘Mai ngã maunga titia e’
— ‘the mountains that pierce the sky’ 🌞 🏔️ 🌙 — this design celebrates the sacred bond between land and legend.
It illustrates the journey of Mount Taranaki, whose retreat westward carved the Whanganui River, blending myth and geology. A tribute to Aotearoa’s majestic landscapes and their timeless stories.
