New Tommy totes now in the Web shop. These large totes are inspired by my brother. He wanted a large open bag he that he could use to move ring folders, papers and documents when he was studying.

He specified that it should be bold, big, open and made of an African fabric. Also something durable that could take being knocked around. We're used bold chunky striped A*o-oke from Nigeria.

A*o-oke is a sturdy narrow strip fabric woven, in most cases out of cotton thread. The strips are then sewn together to make larger pieces of cloth to work with.

The totes have pockets inside for smaller items you want to keep in once place. It also has wide straps to make it comfortable to carry heavier loads.

They are fun and are great for a day at the beach (sigh), grocery shopping, an overnight bag, anything really!
