BIARRITZ — A Few Favourites 🤍
Our spontaneous stopover in Biarritz on the way back from San Sebastián turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip. We only had 24 hours, but somehow managed to pack so much in — a walk along the coastline, fresh seafood, a wander through the market and an amazing sunset by the sea.
What I loved most was the incredible independent shopping scene. There are very few chain stores here; instead, the streets are lined with beautifully curated boutiques, each with its own personality. You can happily lose a whole afternoon wandering from shop to shop, stopping for a glass of something cold in between. Super inspiring too.
I’ve rounded up a few of my favourite finds from our little wander, but I know we’ve barely scratched the surface.
Biarritz, we’ll definitely be back. 🤍
Bleu mon Jules very cool pop-up. Fab t-shirts. Also in St.Tropez.
Le Corner de Sophie Biarritz ☀️🌴 beautifully merchandised little store with home-wear and very cool hair accessories!
Artiga France the most beautiful stripe fabric! Was trying to work out how we could get two stripe deckchairs home! But settled on some very fun oven gloves. Sells fabric by the meter too for kitchen tables!
La Grand Plage - where you find the famous stripe umbrellas. There are a few beaches dotted around the coastline to discover!
Rocher de la Vierge (Rock of the Virgin), one of Biarritz’s most iconic landmarks. Amazing views.
BALZAC PARIS not technically local but just always so cool - apparently they are opening a store in London this December!
Les Halles de Biarritz - Food market.
It’s the heart of the town and the perfect place to soak up local Basque life. The covered market is home to around 40 independent traders selling the most delicious food. Otto had his first oyster!
MADAME, MONSIEUR. BIARRITZ just so cool! Could have brought everything. An amazing selection of CALL IT BY YOUR NAME bags too.
Colors of Surfing fun surf/gift shop. Great selection of tees.
albert.biarritz the most amazing spot for lunch or supper. Right by the sea and we saw the most spectacular sunset. Very special evening.
Maison DEZAMY just delicious and so many flavours!
