It was very sad news over the Easter period to hear of the passing of our dear friend Adriano Goldschmied, who for those that may not recognise the name, was a true heavyweight in the denim world for the last half a century - ‘the Godfather of denim’. If you wear denim you have almost certainly worn something that his creativity has had a hand in. He was always incredible generous with time and knowledge, and I do not think I have met anyone else that so many would call there mentor - a true testament to the man!

This photo was taken in our London showroom almost a year ago. Adriano was still passionate about the industry and still excited about the future of denim. A true legend. Adriano you will be missed Sir!

This months archive highlight comes straight from the pages of our first book ‘Vintage Menswear’. These beautiful Boer War era keepsakes, circa 1880, have been with us from the beginning.

Drips to Drapes 🎨

Another great in NYC, thank you to everyone that stopped by and came to our talk discussing Jackson Po***ck, vintage denim and the beauty of a good sunfade.

Shimmering Sunfade is a visual tribute to the work and wardrobe of Jackson Po***ck. We highlighted the drips, splashes and paint smears that adorn parts of their extensive archive, and matched them with beautiful one of a kind, sun faded indigo.
