Legendary Chinese Cowboy Jim Sam. Probably the only legit Asian cowboy back in the Wild West. Photos taken probably taken from mid to late 1800s. Would be good to see a movie made about him. Don’t you agree?

Bronze vessel from the western Zhou period in China. 1045-771BC. The inscription inside is in bronze script an ancestor of modern Chinese writing.

Gyeongbokgung Palace, South Korea. What’s special about this palace there is a large focus on nature. Buildings amongst large portions of greenery and lakes. ☺️

Samurai Sword Katana Sword Hand Guard (Tsuba) hoodie.

The blade of a katana is a master piece of engineering and artistic work. But people tend to forget that the expert craftsmanship and effort gone into creating the Tsuba or sword hand guard. In general these sword guards were made separately by craftsmen whose speciality was making Tsuba. So each piece is a masterpiece of its own.

Out hoodie pays homage to these ancient artists who normally get little recognition and are overshadowed by the bladesmiths.

Chinese Wedding Tea Ceremony, photo taken in the late 1800s. This old tradition involves serving Tea to all the couple’s seniors during the wedding. This is according to Confucian traditions as a way to formally say thank you for all the years of their care, and to mark the day that the couple will endeavour to start their own family. In return the seniors usually give a red envelope 🧧 of money to wish the couple luck in their now marriage. Usually the couple kneel in front of their seniors to serve the tea but in modern times this has become less common. Note that not all Chinese have this tradition but seems to be more common in the south of China.
