We have been purposefully silent for the past few weeks, as we continued to see the information change daily, but we must make a decision and We have made the official decision to close our doors Harkensback until further notice, in an attempt to help create a more swift recovery and for the sake of our fellow community members and local economy. No, we cannot afford to do this, yes, we may lose our business and our home, but we cannot afford not to. We have the luxury of history in front of us, even if it is just weeks. We are working with our staff to ensure they have the essentials and do what we can to help them along the way during this time. There is no playbook here, but we know that we cannot continue to fight our conscience each morning on what the right thing to do is, and that is to close our doors and risk losing our business, our home, and whatever else we are worried about, to do our part to cut the impact of this pandemic and protect those in our lives who are high-risk. We will not decide that our lives are more important than others, we will not choose money over humans, and we will do whatever we can, to help anyone we can, on the rebuild that the future inevitably holds.
We also have announcements coming for the postponement of events we are a part of or hosting, please give us about 24 hours as we wrap that information up and reach out to those involved and ticket-holders.
If anyone in our community is in need of essentials, such as food, cleaning supplies, or disinfectant spray, medication, please do not hesitate to reach out, we will do our best to help anyone we can with the supplies we have or have access to.
Thank you for your support, none of us knows what the end of this looks like, but we can stick together (figuratively, of course), and prepare for an amazing community party on the other side of this thing.
Be Kind, Be Safe
