An exhausting week - very hot and busy. Not good in the heat. Still Alfies 50th birthday party was a great success and thanks to all the Staff at Alfies who worked so hard organising it. Sitting on the sofa thinking about jewellery but too tired to do much. Trying to work out why some pieces make such an impact on me but others do not. It is not necessarily the materials used. It is either the quality, the design or a particularly beautiful component. This resin, fan shaped topped brooch with a hanging tassel makes a statement. The materials are not expensive but the effect is so striking. Has more effect on me than a boring diamond piece - but the difference in the price is huge. Maybe I will put it in the shop but will miss it if it sells.
